got my 28" VGA monitor sorted at last !!

Just thought I would let you all no that all my messing about with this monitor paid off.

Its a 28" hantarex monitor VGA I think 640X480. To be onest I was shittin kittens trying to get it in the cab as there is no shassy to the monitor. Got it fitted in the end, and fired it up. I can not get over how clean the picture is as I had 28 TV S-Video before so yea Wow!!

3D games look brill dont see any gagges AA takes care of that and mame looks very nice to.

Any way, I have a spare monitor I got two of them hehe, so I would like to give it some from this forum I live in the UK so if youpay the postage no probs there.

All the best peep's you all work hard in this forum I just would like to give somthing bask is all.

It states it's an hantarex but the tube is made by philips very good manufatuer of CRT if any one would like to have the other monitor your more than welcome

Yes I think shipping would cost a bit as the monitor is spine snappingly heavy hehe.

But may be worth as this monitor will look sweet in your cab !

DVD's look very nice 2.

perhaps Tom would like it I think he's baced in the UK.

I can get more of these monitors as well from 90" rear projection to crt of any size.

The flight case these things have are spot on for shipping. I will find the

link for web site I'm sure they could sort out shipping for you guys.

still cheaper than buying the real thing, I think !!

I only have a 21" monitor in my cab, so it would be nice to get a bigger one.

I'm prepared to pay for shipping if your happy to send it to Australia I was actually thinking of buying one of those arcade monitors but they are over $1000 and I just can't afford that right now. This hobby is expensive enough as is!

Is it an arcade monitor (like the betson/wells gardner) capable of mame custom resolutions ?

No it will only display in 64X480 vga, its just a big pc monitor, its better than

a TV and cheaper than a muti sinc arcade monitor.

It only cost me £60 just the job realy!!

Before I commit to this I need to find out how much it will cost to ship. Do you know the approx weight?

Also it's a shame it doesn't do 1024x768 because I play alot of PC games on my cab. You know it's so hard to find a monitor that size over here though.

Well, I think I'll leave this open for anyone else in the UK for now until I find out how much it would cost. So if anyone in the UK still wants this by all means speak up. It would certainly be alot cheaper to get this in the UK.

yes I did play at the same rez but to be honest it still looks bluddy good in 480p even pc games. But i'm finding a few games will not go 640X480 Medal of Honor Airborne TW 08

and probly alot of the new pc game coming out to!!

but every thing else looks fine.

Not to discourage from getting this, kaze, but there must be someone over at byoac in oz that can help you locate one.

Rusty: by the way, using soft15khz with 'high refresh' modes means you can run native resolutions on that monitor. (Incidentally, I'd keep it for a future project.)
