1964 blank screen

Ive been trying to get 1964 to run because it plays the roms much better than PJ64 on my laptop.

Im using nologics loader.

It seems like the game loads, but then I get a blank screen. I have show desktop enabled. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

First off, does it work outside of GameEx? If it doesn't work on its own, it will never work in GameEx. Second, try to use the 'Run Last Game' link in Start -> Programs -> GameEx. It might give an error that you won't see in GameEx.

It runs great outside of gameex.

I didnt do the runlastgame.bat which I should have known to try. I did make my own batch file to test the loader and everything out, which should have been near identical to what gameex was trying to do.

The other thing I noticed was even with

Show Desktop = Yes

HideOS.exe was running. Is that supposed to be running regardless? I know I can never get anything to display on any of my systems when Show Desktop = No.

Export your config and post here maybe its sending keys or somthin

try a different video rendering plugin...ideally one based on DirectX.

Ill try that too. I am using jabos D3D plugin with it since the included riceplugin doesnt work well with the rage pro 8mb card on the laptop. This plugin plays most of the games great with full or near full speed outside of gameex. So im not sure how much changing it will help. But it cant hurt either!

Well I didn't play a whole lot with 1964...just enough to get the loader written...but I did use Rice's plugin...maybe give the latest build a try and see if that plays better with the laptop.
