Well, I have not used my model 2 roms because I hated the idea of having to set controller config seperate for each rom.

I finally sat down and set the configs last night, The problem I am having is that most of them will have the classic load and play but screen is black syndrome. It doesnt happen on all of them. But most yes.

Every other system or whatever works fine. These roms work fine out of gameex. What would be causing this? All my emulators are set to "show desktop" I dont remember if mame has that setting, but im almost positive i would set it to show desktop if it did.

I do have the setting "remove icons and set black desktop" for the general config of gameex. Would that cause the problem with the select few games?

I dont think I tried that. I will tonite.

Somehow I dont think thats the problem because It usually shows the task bar in those situations. And it was not there at that time. Ill try though.

Well, it seems to be that the m2loader gameex creates needs the emulator to be forced in fullscreen.

I added autofull=1 to the model2 ini and it seems to be working now. The in game setting for that did not change the ini for me in case someone else runs into this problem.

Why does gameex need the m2loader anyways, I renamed the emulator.exe to m2loader.exe while testing and ran "run last game" and it worked great.

I don't think the latest version of Model2 needs the wrapper anymore. I don't know if GameEx has been updated to not use the wrapper. I guess renaming it for now will work.

Actually you shouldn't rename the emulator.exe to m2loader. Gameex somehow knew it wasn't the right executable and overwrote it with the original m2loader.

I was able to do it by using the runlastgame.bat only

Model2 was updated months ago. If GameEx hasn't been updated to use it, then that's really a flaw with GameEx that should be fixed. I'll add a feature request to get it in the works (hopefully).

Are you sure the latest model2 accepts command line parameters? I'm not sure if it does work without the wrapper or not. I did update the wrapper for the newer version which added some games. Some people still have problems with it but I couldn't figure out what the problem was. It sure would save some grief if they added command line support.

Nebula and Model2 have nearly 0 development as is, so I doubt they even have a way to make suggestions like that. I'm suprised that's not one of the first things on the list when developing an emulator (CLI).

There is no need, the m2loader works fine with the newest version.

I just had to manually set up the config file for the emulator. The loader was not working until I did that.

I just had to manually set up the config file for the emulator to force full screen even though it clearly states dont touch those settings in the config file  . The loader was not working until I did that.
