Well I've done NeoGeoCD prior and had things working fairly well...tho its my understanding that using Nebula is the best route...but haven't tried it.

are they playable or is it a case of the games work?

Posted

They where playable the ones I did try out...it was just a quicky to see if I could get it up and running...which I did...but rather sloppy.

i give up.... I dont see a way of geting it working in gameex

whats needed is for nebula to run the neocd bios then the the cd image to run

i cant even find a way of getin nebula to run the neocd bios without manualy selecting it from the list in nebula

the only think i can think of is the roms i have are in the wrong format i have *.cue *.iso *.mp3

any ideas welcome or if anyone has a working setup please let me know

thanks

Your files are fine...I'll work up some Import INI's for you and Loaders if required.

i have found a nebula Wrapper for command lines wrapper link gona have a play round see what i can do with it

Now all of the Import INI's are based off the idea that you are containing each game in a folder by its self all under a main folder (rom path)...its also assuming that the CUE file is named the same as the folder containing it. If you look at the "Launch Before" entries you'll notice:

LaunchBefore=C:\PROGRA~1\DAEMON~1\daemon.exe -mount 0,"[RomPath]\[Rom]\[Rom].cue"

[RomPath] basically is the master folder that contains all the sub folders that contain the game assets themselves.

[Rom] is the sub folder name that contains the game assets.

[Rom].cue is the CUE file with name matching that of the folder containing it.

So what GameEx actually see's is:

LaunchBefore=C:\PROGRA~1\DAEMON~1\daemon.exe -mount 0,"C:\Emulation\Roms\Console\SNK Neo-Geo CD\Samurai Shodown III (1995-12-29)(SNK)[!][NGCD-087]\Samurai Shodown III (1995-12-29)(SNK)[!][NGCD-087].cue"

Another thing worth mentioning is that I'm using the short 8.3 naming for Daemon Tools default install folder...if you have it else where...you'll need to alter this...and in the case of any spaces you'll ether need to make sure its double quoted...or convert it over to 8.3 naming...like what I have done.

Now should your folder names...not match up with the ones I have in the supplied MAP file...there is an AutoIt script in the "*\Support\Source\" folder...you'll need AutoIt installed...and you'll need to copy this script over to the primary folder holding all the sub folders and then execute the script...it will then create for you a custom MAP file based off your game folders.

FYI...Daemon Tools doesn't seem to like CUE+ISO+MP3 so MP3's will need to be converted over to WAV...that is unless there has been an update to Daemon that I'm not aware of....

Anyways here is a copy of one of my CUE files thats used with WAV...just so you have an idea how it should be formated.

Nice work Nologic. il give it a try when i get chance. I have converted all the mp3 files i have to wav format. is this setup for files from pleasuredome? if so TOSEC SNK NEO-GEO CD (2007-08-26) is that the set you have?

Posted
Yeah it will work with that set...and trackers probably shouldn't be mentioned.

ok i have had a try and basicly what i get is nebula loading up as it would normaly, when i check the cd image mounted in deamon tools but i have to pick the neocd from the list in nebula then it will work only problem is on my media centre i dont have a mouse and from what i can see you cant use arrow keys to scroll the list in nebula

my setup is the nebula one from your post am i missing a command line i just have nebula.exe for that at the moment

also in nebula in Other settings i have set Auto load to "yes"
