Replacing XP Screens

As I said earlier, for me to be truly happy with my XP based Mame cabinet I'm gonna need to get rid of as much visual reference to Windows as possible!

The Desktop is not too bad since the task bar can be hidden and background made black, but what really irritates me is the start up and shut down screens.

Anyone know how these can be replaced in XP Pro..?

Should point out that I feel these give a valuable feedback and a black screen isn't really desirable.

WOuld also like to disguise the logon screens if its possible.
