I too had this problem.. I ended up using NOLOGIC's modified loader. Since it has been removed and I have been asked specifically not to share it... You can read up on that here.

Ok well after 12 hours of messing with autoIt I finally got something going.. First off I want to thank No logic for pointing me in the right direction. To be honest my loader is NOT as clean as his.. After looking at his there was NO WAY I could reproduce the way it works unless I simply copied it.. He had an ingenious way of writing to the nulldc.cfg the name of the default rom and telling it to load on startup. Personally I would have never thought of that and cannot in good faith use that part of his code..

Also No logic had a great way to end the task and bring gameex back to focus.. I spent hours being able to launch the game but not return back to gameex. Finally I was able to get that going too.

My loader does have benefits though..

So I opted to go with what I know. You will need to have deamon tools installed.

Since it uses deamon tools it is compatable with all image types..Not just the ISOs that null dc nativly supports.

There will need to be some configuration I have included a PDF instruction guide in the same zip as the loader and support files.

If this works I will email it to Tom to keep on the main page with the other support files... This way we will have it forever.

Or at least until Nulldc supports CLI.

Sbaby...Please let me know if this works.

I didn't password protect the loader so if ANYONE can improve it please do so.. I'm afraid my skills are sub-par at best.

Also I "borrowed" some of kenclops code to hide mouse Thanx KenClops :)

I also noticed I have to hit Esc twice.. The reason being I think is the first time ESC closes null dc and gameex doesnt pick it up.. The second gameex does and it closes the proocess... I will work on this issue.

**If I hold ESC for a sec it closes properly**

What happens when you mount the cdi in daemon tools and run nulldc manually?

do you have another pc to try it on? If it works on another PC maybe a format is in order.

This is a diffrent loader.. Written by NoLogic.. This loader is released AS-IS and he will NOT be supported by the author.

He has givin me the permission to re-post and support this loader.

Here's the deal you can rerelease my script...but now as your own..meaning you support it from here on out not me. I really deeply hate the whole DC thing now days...hehe course I think you've fully noticed.

Since it is now mine I will be uploading this to Tom so he can put it in the loaders and wrappers section of gameex...

At this point in time we have three loaders... More than enough.. And more than enough threads.

If you have a problem with the loaders contact me. or kenclops as he has contributed the third loader.

With all that said..

Here you go...

How does this loader work? How do you configure it with GE?

Sorry for lack of instructions...

Unzip the file place Nulldc_loader.exe and kill_child.exe in the same dir as Nulldc program.

your working path will be the folder you copied the loader into.

Your rom path is self explanatory.. (the directory your cdi images are)

Your rom filter will more than likely be *.cdi

The command will be Nulldc_loader.exe "[rompath]/[romfile]"

Thats all folks :)

BTW: I did send both of these to Tom for the main page but I thinks he has missed it?!?

If i run:

nulldc_loader.exe "c:\Emulators\DC\ikaruga.cdi" it work very well.

If i run it inside Gameex it ask me: " Press a key to continue " seem that the loader send a pause command to nullDC, after pressing a key nullDC start correctly, any idea?

Yep..

In the emulator config for nulldc (gameex advance config)... Disable debug mode.
