DL2 Daphne Beta 1.0 (RESOLVED)

DL2 works fine under Daphne 1.0, but not under Gameex. All othe games do work under Gameex except DL2

Have ROM set to Lair2

Command Line is

daphne.exe lair2 vldp -framefile vldp_dl/lair2/dl2-framefile.txt -blank_searches -min_seek_delay 1000 -seek_frames_per_ms 20 -homedir . -latency 175 -noserversend -sound_buffer 2048 -fullscreen -x 640 -y 480

All other games use same sequence as the command line. Tried without all the extra stuff ( -blank_searches -min_seek_delay 1000 -seek_frames_per_ms 20 -homedir . -latency 175 -noserversend -sound_buffer 2048 -fullscreen -x 640 -y 480) also. If anyone has the running under the 1.0 please let me know how.

I think its due to the fact you do not have the ROMs.

Unfortunatly we cannot give roms here at the forum.. Or where to find them.

Daphne 1.0 downloads everything you need. I also have the 20th Anniversary DVD set. Plays fine under Daphne just not Gameex. I was the one with the same problem of setting up the Beta version under Gameex that you posted my solution.

I just think that gameex is calling for lair2 and you do not have it... Thats all.. If daphen downloads everthing you need then maybe its just calling the rom somthing else... Id change the command to reflect the correct rom image.

Ok issue solved with a bunch of help from Brian. It came down to two issues. One being a redundant command line. Make sure the command line for game options in the Beta version is like this

-framefile vldp_dl/lair2/dl2-framefile.txt

The other problem is that it seems when the Beta version grabs Roms from the internet that Lair2 is a bad ROM. Will let them know about this and hopefully it will be fixed.

Your Game ROM should be lair2

Game options should be -framefile vldp_dl/lair2/dl2-framefile.txt

Understand that even though the ROM was corrupt DAPHNE still ran it without any problems, so don't be fooled.
