Yeah they have been continuing to work on it.

Can't say I'm all that excited anymore about it...but then again I'm expected to be sour grapes on this subject. ;)

I wouldn't put NullDC or it's coders in the same category as dumpers/users/scene etc. If that's what your referring to by being sour on the subject.

Well I for on am excited about this news... Ater chankast quit development I was afraid Id never play an emulated MVC 2..

When Nulldc came about it was awesome.. Alot better than chankast but still not perfect... I am very anxious for this.. I check ngemu regulary for updates... The coders are very SECRET about whats going on and when it will be available...

Not that I blame them they are probably hounded daily...

None the less thanks for the heads up :)

I certainly don't want to drag up issues from other scenes onto this board, but you have to remember in many of the emulation scenes and forums on the Net there are a lot of young people. And they generally don't know how to conduct themselves in a polite manner online. This is why the more mature places, like here and BYOAC you don't get that sort of behaviour. And I for one won't tollerate it on here.

I wouldn't feel the need to be bitter at the coders or the fine work on NullDC itself because they let it happen. You can't possibly moderate the diverse audience an emulator attracts. If you want to discuss this further, feel free to PM me about it.

I STILL haven't tried this emu... Is there command line support yet? I heard that was a WIP.

No not yet... But dont let that stop you.... Its very good and there is numerous threads here about getting it going properly.

So is it better running this or hooking up a DC to the cabinet directly? I can see an advantage to either, but I haven't run the emu or hooked up the DC yet.

Run the EMU.. Gives a nice clean setup. (And keeps authentisity)

You do need a rather fast pc and video card tho.

I have a 3 ghz 1gig mem and 6800 geforce it works GOOD...

Tho Virtua fighter 3 and dead or alive 2 are a little slow. But next version is said to fix it.

I'm running a 3000+ and ATI 1300Pro. Think that's good enough? I just bought some DC guns for HOTD, so I don't know if I will go that route, but it would be a lot easier than swapping discs!

Thats a pretty sweet setup...

I've always wanted to get thos actlab light guns mame supports....

Im not sure about Nulldc and lightgun support..

Id probably end up going with actlab guns and HOD for PC.

It is a sweet gun Brian, but you may have to play around with different drivers to get it to work right in MAME. Mame changed the way it handles lightguns and mice a while back and the driver that comes with the Topgun stopped working (unless they have fixed it since then). I ended up using the wingun guncon2 drivers for my setup.

Actually, I have a pair of Scorpion3 PS2 Light guns for the cab and I just bought a pair of light guns for the DC as well. I like the Scorpions, but I've found that there is a lot of inaccurate shots around the edges of the screen, so I figured I would spend a couple bucks more and get real DC guns for some hard core arcade action (since DC games are mostly ripped straight from the arcade)!
