How can i run a batch file as shell on InstantSheller?

Hi !

I have a little Problem and need your help :|

I installed the instant sheller to hide the Windows. Before i make this , i have read the Tutorial !!!

There is a point in that TUT , with run a batch file as Shell ?!?!

But the instantsheller need a exe file and not a .bat

So how can i do this now?

I need my batchfile because of a lots services and programs there must autostart

Any Ideas ?

Instant Sheller will change you reg key from running EXPLORER.exe as the shell to c:\program files\gameex\gameex.exe

In the gameex advance configuration you can goto Tweaks/performance Launch on start dont wait. (Put your batch file there)

This way when you gameex runs it will call the other apps you want running in the backround.

Btw: Most services will start anyways...Thats kinda the point of being run as a service... There are also apps that will make any program run as a service...

I don't think that post mentions using scripts. If you want to start things prior to GameEx launching, you could use a startup script (for instance to launch winlirc and turn on the TV so it doesn't steal focus from GameEx). There are also shutdown scripts that can be used in the same way.

Thanks for your great Faq

I need that for my Meddios HTPC

When batch files are unsupported with the instantsheller , the only way is to integrate the bacth file in the regs.

I have this tested for a long time , but i´m unsure how i have made this

But its the only way to give my HTPC a Media Frontend without Windowsxp shell.
