I have gameex on my PC now for mame, fusion etc, I just got a Die hard arcade cabinet that I am converting to MAME, it has a 25" CGA monitor, I got a Jamma board and Jpac to get it hooked to the PC, I remeber seeing an option in Gameex settings to enable arcade monitor, I assume this drops it down to proper resolution so you can read the words in gameex, anyway my question I know Mame works well in arcade monitors but will Fusion for my genesis and sega cd emulator and my 3do emulator? Or can I only play mame games on my arcade monitor :(

Get an arcadevga card. it will run the monitors at the right frequency whch is 15 hz I believe..

by the way MAME does NOT support this natively. It will work (provided you have the card I suggested) I think the advancemame build is built to support these monitors. Your other emus will work fine btw.

For the hertz issue I am going to use the program "Powerstrip" which was designed also to solve this issue, so I hear.

mrserv0n, do a search for a program called soft-15Khz. It basically does the same thing as powerstrip except its way easier and faster to set up. ;)

You'll only need PowerStrip/Soft15Khz if you're trying to create custom mame resolutions using a standard video card. The ArcadeVGA has these modes built-in and saves you the hassle.

Thanks for the tip, dynamik3! Powerstip is cool, but not free.
