Hi, I have been using Game Ex for a few months now, and everything seems to be working perfectly....

except for karaoke, I have the CDG/mp3 files in one directory, and Game Ex is pointing to it, I also have the the Karaoke for Direct X app installed.

The app works fine in Media Player mode, but I don't have a music list in Game Ex.

I'm just a tad confused, as I have looked on the forum for solutions (which I have done for other things before)

this one has me stumped :(

HELP ME PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where it asks for an extension in your config setup set as *.cdg. Make sure the files are unzipped and the cdg files and mp3 files are in the same directory.

This is where I am now a bit confused, in the setup option for the karaoke there is no (advanced config) place to add *cdg as a filter, also when you say 'directory' is that one pair of CDG/MP3 per folder or ALL CDG/MP3's together? At the moment I have the latter.

try deleting these two files in C:\program files\gamex\data

KaraokeFiles.dat

KaraokeData.dat

The only thing you should need to do with karaoke is set the path to where your cdg and mp3 files are located. Note these should not be ziipped but seperate files.

Its probably a small issue with GameEx rather than you doing anything wrong, so dont be confused :)

I am now feeling a bit silly now...

My Karaoke files are all on a partition NOT inside a folder.... Game Ex couldn't see 'em!!! The moment I put 'em in a folder and setup Game Ex to find the CDG/Mp3 files in said folder, it worked!

'Directory' doesn't mean Partition! - Must remember this!! DOH

Sorry for wasting your time there Tom!! :(

I am now feeling really stupid now, as it's not Game Ex's fault but me being very very silly!!

Never thought of it like that...

Thabks for helping me out guys!

It's also nice to have the author of the software helping you too!

One of the many reasons that make Game Ex unique to all the other sofware models out there. :D
