GameEx just goes blank and it has to be forced quit. if you need more info please let me know.

there is an E: there that shouldn't be... was working fine until the auto updates to 8.63 then 8.64.

also, it should cd to the mame dir if possible to allow Standard.cfg to load correctly with MAME Plus! (was working in 8.62).

I dont think so. Its running fine here.

GameE does not actually run that command, its just for logging purposes. Its not changed either.

It runs \data\runitgame.bat

See if that above file runs.

that file runs fine. it ran the last played game

any idea why 8.62 -> 8.64 would cause attract mode to go to a blank screen? (can't quit w/o force)

I did add exception checking to it. I also made it create a default cfg file to bypass the disclaimer.

Do you have the bypass disclaimer turned off normally? I expect its that thats screwing up MAME Plus for some reason.

i disabled mame for screensaver and made it only play videos... that's when it freezes. nothing has changed on my end except the auto-updates.

i re-did the wizard and made it do mame only w/o videos and the screensaver runs fine.

videos run fine for mame previews when browsing games and that's the same folder used for attract mode videos.

Plays videos fine for me.

Can you post the log with it freezing. Are you saying it always played videos ok prior to the update, or you ust tried it? I have not changed anything with videos in screensaver last two version.

You didnt perhaps by accident turn on the feature to turn off the monitor in screensaver?

I disabled my xvid codec and re-installed ffdshow and that seems to have worked... very odd.

Hi, I think I have fixed the videos in screensaver in the latest version. Can you try for me please?

my system has xvid 1.2 installed with no ffdshow.

videos play fine when browsing games for mame.

they still do not play in the screensaver.

the screensaver just locks up gameex and i have to force quit.
