Try this:

Right click on your desktop & select properties, then select the following:

Screensaver

Power

Advanced

Then change "when is press the sleep button..." to hibernate instead of standby.

I havent tried it, but it should work.

My HTPC suffered a brain haemorrage a few months back (dead motherboard), but I'm pretty sure I had mine set up to wake up on USB. It all depends on whether your motherboard's BIOS supports it.

il have a see but i dont think it will wake from hibernation, i think il have to stand up and turn it back on my self or buy a long stick to poke the power button :P

Some motherboards have a jumper to enable or disable the wake on USB feature. It would probably be labeled as:

5v

and

5vsb

You want it on 5vsb.

And then if it still doesnt work download the MST tool (MCE Standby Tool). That should get your computer up and running properly with standby options.

Like Michael said though, I dont think its possible to use that feature from hibernate. S3 standby should work though and it uses almost no power if thats your main concern.
