get rid off GameEx and Mame logo

I activated GameEx with a serial number.

Works fine, but when i play a game; which is not full screen ( like 1943, and many more ), it shows a GameEx logo left of the screen and a Mame logo right of the screen.

I want it black, like the free version.

Is that possible ?

run setup wizard, choose search, search for bezel, select advanced mame settings (1), set Use Bezel: to Don't use Bezel

If you don't like the existing bezel you can modify the mame.png in ...GameEx\MEDIA\BEZELv2\ folder

On a side note has this option been removed from the Advanced config? I can't seem to see it?

Just to throw this out there.. does anybody know how to modify the bezel to make it looks good with a widescreen tv? I'd like to have it be full screen, rather than have the bezel and then still have black bars on the sides. Not that important, just curious.

The bezel is just a PNG file so you can just modify the size of the image and apply the appropriate dimensions on the black bars and add whatever images you like!

Just make sure you make an empty bezels folder to point GameEx at... Otherwise it will overwrite your official bezels.

its in mame options "use Bezel on vertical games" can turn it off sounds like you have

Were that the case. No, it's on by default, and I've always left it on. Then turned it off then back on to see if it might need to reset. Then someone suggested it might be because of the aspect ratio I run on vertical games - 5:4 - but that wasn't it, either. No idea, regardless of version, though I haven't used it since my last download (8.55, I think...maybe, not sure, it's been a week or so) cos it's just easier to run the individual programs until the day GE works how I'd like it to...if that happens. (note: no inuendos, etc in all that. I'm explaining my circumstance.)
