Mame game loading untill 7%, then black screen & back 2 GameEx menu

Hi,

I can't get any Mame games running! I have read some topics about advanced display confg. (SHOW DESKTOP or HIDE DESKTOP ect.) but nothing works. The problem is, when i start (any of Mame) a game, the screen loads the game untill 7% and then turns black, stays for a second of 10 and then jumps back to the GameEx menu.

Who's having the same problem(s) and can help me?

My pc conf. (ACER Aspire 5020):

AMD Turion64 ML-34

15.4 LCD screen

512Mb DDR

ATI Radeon X700 128Mb VRAM

Its for the kids on our holiday in the back of the car!

does it work outside gameex, also does it do this with every game?

No, Mame doesn't work also without GameEx! And yes, every game of Mame doesn't work in GameEx! I upgraded my vga drivers, also the NetFrame and DirectX. Any tips or hints?

YES! I fond an old driver for my ATI card and everything works great! Thnx for the help and email...
