Thanks for the update Tom...but you know it seems these days that once I get one update downloaded there are another one cued up. ;)

Yeah I know sorry. Its not ideal, but at the moment I cant contain my enthusian and excitement about (waht I think is) the cool things Im doing.

I'll probably calm down soon, and wont be as motivated, then yourll be waiting a month for an update.

Now that the Auto Update goes smoothly, these updates don't bother me a bit. Actually, they get me a little excited about the new features! B)

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Is it because of a high traffic load?

It's been happening since the other night.

After the update, my GameEx no longer works. When it comes up all of the text is missing. It is a blank screen. Clicking around does select things and will sometimes show the text, but the font is very small. I was running the Tron theme before and after the update. I've also tried several other themes and it still doesn't work. I even tried a low resolution theme and nothing.

Hi,

Since updating to 8.59 all screensaver videos now crash/freeze. The music plays in the background without a problem, but the screensaver stays on one frozen frame and does not return to GameEX. If I alt-F4 I get a .NET message that object 'V' caused the problem - have rebooted a few times, it's always object 'V'. I am using Windows XP SP2 with all the latest updates and pacthes applied. 2GB RAM, using an onboard video card - Intel 765.

My video directory just points to my MAME AVI previews, and has been working perfectly until now.

This should be fixed in 8.60. Thanks for letting me know.

Maybe I inadvertently fixed in in 8.60

Yup, that fixed it. I couldn't get the auto-update to work. It was stuck in an endless loop of starting GameEx and then downloading the update. However, after downloading the full install, all is well.

Thanks very much for fixing the avi/mpeg issue so quickly! I have some friends coming around today to "check it out" and it will all be perfect now :)
