Hi

Ive not been to the forums in a long time and couldnt find anything relevant, basically i built a second XP Media Centre which outputs at 1920x1080 on an HDTV and i was wondering if anyone knew which version of gameex would support this resolution? Since i can only set it to 1280x720 for it to work, otherwise crashes with a long log if i try to set it to 1920x1080.

It runs fine at 1280x720, however does not fill the screen completely leaving a big black border all the way around and although it plays fine and all my emulators etc work, so too mame, problem is when i exit back into Media Centre, it remains at the 1280x720 resolution, so watching a DVD or TV show has the big black border around it still.

Anyone know a solution to this? Thanks

Well I'm running a build thats very recent...however I'm not running that rez...I'm at 1680x1050...which seems fine other than I need to make a few custom graphics for a few things that get pixelated at that rez. Switching between MCE and GE seems fine here tho.

It should work fine. I've been able to run it and 1080 without issues.

Also if your desktop is running at the same res, tell GameEx not to change resolution. It should automatically detect, but maybe its not.

Can you post the log?

Thanks for your replies, i will try maybe installing the latest version, try running without allowing to change resolution and if doesnt work, will try setting the resolution, If it still doesnt work, will post the log!

Thanks alot. I would have been able to do it remotely from my office, but have shut down my media centre after a good defrag today!

Will try later. Thank you
