I posted this up a while back, but I've since changed my MAME setup. I'm now using the latest version of MAME32. This has solved my MAME interop problem. Now, I'm back to having modifed some of key mappings, but the LED Wiz plugin is still lighting the default buttons. I'm just remapping the player 1-7 buttons to different layouts, not new buttons or anything. I see the modified layout in the MAME32/cfg/<ROM NAME>.cfg

Here is my layout for defender. This should actually light all 7 buttons for player one as button 4 (hyperspace I believe) is mapped to the top three buttons of my CP. Instead it lights the default (player 2 buttons).

Okay I also need your LED.ini from the GameEx plugin folder, and you need to tell me which buttons/keycodes are not lighting up. Thanks.

Thanks for you help.

Here is my LCD.ini file. However, I don't think the problem is with my setup of the LCD plug-in as it lights the proper buttons unless I change the default layout. I have no problem with MAME recognizing the re-mapped keys, only the LED-Wiz. It always keeps the default keys lit up.

In the case of defend, I tried to re-map the keys to several different things. No matter what I did, only the original buttons were lit (the four player 2 buttons).

I see your problem already, you don't have the keycodes assigned to your button's. They are set to NOTHING. To have custom mappings to work you have to also map keycodes to them. Let me know how you go.

That was it. Funny thing was I had those mapped at one time and didn't realize they weren't mapped anymore. I'm suspecting the mappings got wiped back when GameEx used to update the Plugin with the older version. I lost my settings several times when that happened.

Thanks again and this plugin rocks!
