I recently updated from GameEx 8.07 (?) to 8.40. And I updated Mame from .94 to 1.17. I had a few little things to fix and all are fine now except I no longer have sound while playing a game. I hear everything fine in GameEx so I assume it's something Mame related. I am attaching my mame.ini file. I can post my GameEx log of whatever if that will help.

I tried changing the "volume" line from 0 to 1 then to 76 (random number) but it didn't help. Was there a change between .94 and 1.17 related to this issue? I follow most of the updates and don't remember sound being listed. Any suggestions on what I need to look for? I've tried pressing = while in a game to increase the volume with no effect either.

Thanks!

Before I can help, can you please try GameEx 8.47

Cheers.

Updated again.

And I found MY error and it's my fault. Somehow I changed it the MAME AUDIO MODE to Play MAME with no sound. Sorry for the idiocy on my part.

One question or suggestion. Is it possible to change it so that when using a drop down, the options are fully displayed? On my cabinet, I have a tv so I thought it was just my resolution that prevented me from reading all of the text on a given line. When I installed GameEx on my family pc to read the choices, I realized that I couldn't read it all there either.

Again, sorry for the problems. I should have looked at that before posting.

Thanks for great program.
