hey, i have about 1500 songs on my pc and would like to add them to gameex, however, 80 of them are in albums and the rest are just single files, is there a way to have the maps of the albums displayed in the jukebox? tyvm

Hi. Not sure what you mean by maps. Do you mean the paths to the albums ?

yep, so if you look at the jukebox, you see the different albums, if you click on thze albums, you see the songs :)

Hi. So what happens when go to jukebox in gameex is that it lists all your songs individually whether they happen to be in an album or not ?

:)

EDIT: I think what's happening is that jukebox is set to File Tag Mode (i haven't used that mode myself). If you move all your albums/songs to one folder (My Music) to keep things organized (if you haven't already done so) you can download Windows Media Player 11, install it and fire it up. On opening it for the first time it will probably try and build a library - if not you can select 'Library' then 'Add To Library' and select the folder (My Music or which folder all your music is in). When it's finished building a library you can check to see if all music is there. Exit WMP11 and run the GameEX setup wizard. Go to 'Audio Settings', on the first page you'll see 'Jukebox Mode' and select 'Use WMP Library', save and exit setup wizard. The next time you use the jukebox in GameEX you should see your albums there. You can toggle the way your music is displayed by clicking on 'Artist/Album' on the left. You can also make playlists of your favourite tracks in WMP11 and play them in GameEX's jukebox (under playlists). If you want to display your album cover art (jpeg) just have it within the album folder and rename the image to 'folder'.

Hope this helps.

yes i just get 1 big list with all the songs individually,

You should have menu buttons on the left to select by album, artist, genre etc. Do you not see those? Its standard in GameEx, and has been since the jukebox was introduced.

Sorry if i misunderstand the question.

you got the problem right tom but the real prob is that most of my single songs come out of albums so the most of them have the album description added, so when i press the album button in the jukebox, i get loads of albums, some with only 1 song in it, some with 2 and so on

My suggestion then would be to use a tagging tool, or WMP, and rename all those albums with only a couple of tracks to "Various".

i get the same wmp seems to just group by artist rather than by Album, it would be good just to view the albums by the folder there in, in windows

i know if i was to edit the id3 tag this would probly sort it but it could take some people a long time to edit all there collections
