7z and snaps, box art, etc

Hey all,

I registered GameEx recently and I must say I am impressed - seems like there are new updates just about every time I start the program - amazing how much effort Tom is putting into it!

Anyway, I have several goodmerged romsets all compressed with 7z - they work fine in GameEx. However, I recently downloaded some sets of extras (snaps, screen shots, box art, videos, etc) which are also in 7z format. Can GameEx recognize these files as 7z? I couldn't get them to work (but they were fine when they were uncompressed). Do images, avi's, pdf's, etc have to be uncompressed for GameEx to see them? Or is there a different compression method that will work?

They must be uncompressed other wise it would effect the performance of the user interface in a negative way.

I'm unsure about whether or not PDF's must be or not...actually it would probably be nice if it does support those in archives.

I have found that manuals in .pdf format need to be uncompressed.
