Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone could help me with a few questions.

I'm looking at buying this case with remote control.

Has anyone out there used this remote to control GameEX? and if so is it easy enough to setup?

And can it do everything that the MMC remote can do?

This case is exactally what I want, but will be let down if I can't use the reomte with GameEX.

I know it comes with software, but to hell with that, GameEX is too good not to use :)

Cheers

Well guys I dont use a controller at all I use an IPAC anyways I believe gameex dosent work (directly) with any controller I think a program is installed on the PC that captures the infared signal and you program it to a specific key or function. Like the select button will be [ENTER] and antoher could be [ESC].

Anyways if thats true ten anything that behaves like that should work.

I thought you could use the media center remote with GameEx. Well, I wouldn't know since I don't have either media center or a remote...

But, either way, you can use a remote with GameEx even if it's not directly supported. There was a free program called GIRDER that did exactly what you want, but apparently some big company bought it and made it commercial. I suspect that older versions are available online and wouldn't require licensing since it was released as free.

Sweet thanks for the info. I'll check out that program 'Girder'. Might download the software you get with the case, and check it out too.

What sort of cases does everyone here have? thats if it's a HTPC that you have GameEX on.

Mine is a 6-1/2 foot tall wooden box :D it's a little harder to move than one of those cube HTPC boxes, but I like it.
