Letter jump? If you mean jumping from one letter to the next (you have a game starting with 'D' selected and you want to go to the first game starting with 'E'), then you can do that already. Check your alpha/paging setup.

Yeah I could never understand that request I always felt that it twas already included with the alpha/paging

Although he mentions joypad, perhaps he, like me, has a joystick that has no buttons connected. Hence, alpha-paging is not possible. At this stage I'm still stubbornly determined not to hook the Ultimarc 360 button harness to my buttons (for one, I can't find where I've bloody put them!) since they're already hooked to the IPAC4 (and I find this preferable for my own reasons)

Since Tom already has code to handle custom joystick and key input I'm just hoping he opens it up a bit/combines the two so that I can have joystick movement through the list as well as using IPAC4 buttons for select/back/alpha-paging etc.

It's really the only thing stopping me from fully committing to GameEx in preference to Mamewah.

Can you not just set the alpha paging key to 1 of your Ipac buttons?

Just wanted to kindly say, I dont want this thread to get out of control, unless its being managed by a mod. This thread should be most wanted, not feature requests, ie where a feature request was submitted ages ago and has not been implemented. If there is not already a post in the feature request thread, and its not been there for over 9 months, then please dont post here. Its just if this thread gets out of control, its going to be useless to me.

Lets also not foget the following have also been implemented. Maybe my vision is different to yours in which changes to the features should be requested:

I read that request as more of a onscreen keyboard from which you could pick a letter with a gamepad to jump.

Hi,

A suggestion for the items that have already been added as features to GameEx - perhaps these could be compiled into a list and added to a FAQ or another sticky with some sort of guide as to where to find the feature/set it up. If more than one person is asking about it, then possibly more people will ask for the same feature because its not clear whether its there yet. A guide might prevent this noise.

What I would like to see is having 2 or more Screenshots / Boxarts when browsing through the games list, because I often remember game by either seing the Boxart or Screenshots.. Maybe this can be done by customising the Editor ?

I think that's supposed to be possible in V3 themes. So, that counts as another vote for V3 themes.

Other than polishing/fixing what we already have, Im quite keen to work on V3 themes next.

I would just like to point out the whole point of V3 themes is not about better skinning. I've never really been into it. The idea is to have a better user interface, more like Vista Media Center than then MCE. Probably only skinning will be just to replace the images, and custom backgrounds as with V1 themes.

It will allow two images to be dispplayed, and eventually it should allow browsing the list by images instead of just text list.

Basically the menus move to the top in a horizontal line, and will probably be scrollable. This allows two images to be displayed, ant it has the potential for more menus to be added, such as "view by list/biew by image"

Im probably going to ccode the whole positioning system for objects and font sizing from scratch too, this will mean everything should look the same regadless or res and oritentation. HK should be pleased about that
