These might just be specific to the setup wizard...

After updating GameEx, some of my emulators had their settings changed. The following changes were made that I can easily remember:

EMULATOR 2 -> Background changed to DOWNARROW (i had none before)

EMULATOR 2 -> Rom filter changed to *.vpt (had none...)

EMULATOR 2 -> Advanced Config changed to Project 64 V2 (had none..)

EMULATOR 5 -> Manuals path changed to path "G:\stella\manuals" (i had none before, also don't have a drive G:...)

There may have been other changes elsewhere too, but I haven't looked much farther into them. I just know that my EMU#2 and EMU#5 stopped working on me. :)

I noticed a few updates ago that one of my emulators stopped working too, what had happened was the command line for emu19 had been changed from "[ROMFILE]" to just [ROMFILE]

At the time I didn't think much of it, I just changed it back and forgot about it but now after reading your post maybe there's more to it

I'm not exactly sure what this is, but the SetupWizard shouldn't save a setting unless you change it. Recently I added a hidden feature to the Setup Wizard so Tom can reset all settings to default. But I can't see how that would effect your current settings. I've noticed myself that occationally some settings will change when installing a new version. This is without running the Setup Wizard. So I'm not sure what it could be. Perhaps Tom has some ideas?

I'm not sure about Stu's issue, but I think this issue is the fact like you say you had no settings previously saved for this, so basically the update just filled in the blanks. It shouldnt happen again, as now the values are set (even perhaps to an entry string).

Yeah, thats why I notated that I had no settings in there before, just as a "idea" that it could have been because of that. It is a weird quirky bug though, thats why I reported it! :)
