Text/Language -Custom- causes GamEx to freeze when starting

Just bought GamEx and I love it. I just have one issue thats driving me nuts. I'm trying to change the name of some of the menu options ie: Changing Mame to Arcade etc. However for some reason when I do this and change the language to custom as documented, whenever I start up the program I hear the opening melody but I just get a black screen. To exit it I need to CTRL-ALT-DEL to the taskmanager and end task on it. Here is my log if it helps:

When I revert the language back to English and with the default menu options it works again without trouble. What could be causing this? Currently I'm using Windows XP with the latest service packs/updates. Geforce 6800GT, P4 3ghz, 1gb ram, Creative X-fi sound card. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

It works fine for me. Its likely because you have a blank entry somewhere.

If you still cant figure it out post your gameex.ini and Ill take a further look.
