hi...first of all great software..

i am building a custom pc to use as a games console on the tv..i have set up gameex ok....but would like to know how to set up mce remote on this....i am running xp pro stripped down and with remote drivers installed.....

i want the remote to just control gameex........(cos when i set up my games control to do this its ok,but when i set games control up on emulators as well gameex and emulator crash)

i am tring to use a programe called hip set mce remote up to emulate the keyboared which works on any other progame but not gameex....

any ideas

if you use the drivers that are in xp sp2 gameex works with MCE remote without any other software or setting up

what exactly cant you get working?

ok....got it sorted

i was trying to get remote to work on non mce pc....i did install drivers , but control commands was not being sent so

i managed to use hip to custom set keys on the remote to control gameex....

Where did you get the MCE remote drivers? I am trying to get my StreamZap remote setup and with the default settings in GameEX and then the streamZap software installce the arrow keys will work and the OK button on the remote in GameEX, but i have no way of going back up from sub menus or exiting a movie. I have downloaded HIP and installed but in trying to set it up I am having problems mapping the buttons on my remote to keystrokes so that i can have full functionallity in GameEX. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appriciated.

hi..i loaded the default key map in hip and that worked...as for drivers i goggled...it took 4 days to find them....

and with hip it is hit and miss i read all docs and help files but in the end i just ended up playing around with settings...that took me along time to get wot i wanted...

i know it dont help but just thought i let u know how i did it
