Hi.

i have some pc games that requires joytokey (super mario wars for example) and some other games.

taskkill or tskill.exe dosnt work properly for this. it kinda works but not compleately. after switching 2 games using this it wont kill the task anymore.

it only half kills the task and waits untill i exit gamex then kills the task.

anyone got any suggestions for me to be sure taskkil or tskill really happens correclty while exiting a game using joytokey?

as i said. it works like the first time. but when i exit gameex i can se joytokey in the process bar exiting when i exit gameex....

help?

Hello!

I had issues killing joy2key also, so I had to use an app that manually killed it. Put this in the LaunchAfter= field in your GameEx Advanced Configuration. Works like a charm... Unless you're on Vista. ;)

hey it worked just as well as my former method tskill (old taskkill command)

the problem is that say i star 5 different games with joytokey after one and eachother. they all work and joytokey seems to be inactivated fine when exiting each game

the strange thing is that the right side of my toolbar , there the icons stay as they are active. they dont dissapear untill i move my mouscursor ontop of them. it looks in my process bar (by the side of where the clock is you know) that they are active because the 5 joytokey symbols showing from each of the game i have started eaven tho joytokey really isnt running.

what could this be?

well as long as it functions i shouldnt complain.

peace

The reason for the icons remaining on your toolbar is that your toolbar isn't refreshing until you mouse over it. It happens a lot with Tom's M2Loader too. That's just a quirky Windows thing is all. Nothing you can do about that. Joy2Key should be terminating properly each time you exit your game with that script and that's the main thing. :)

Anyways, glad the script works for you. I actually use it for VPinMAME but I figured it would help you as well. :)

Hi guys,

Is it simple to create a taskill.exe? I am using Xpadder for gamepad.

I use PSKILL.exe I believe its from sysinternals and works really well

usage is pskill "program name.exe" without quotes

i now use joytokeyexit.exe . its awsome.

but i could just have used the built in program tskill.exe

there is

"taskkill.exe" on newer Xp versions

and Tskill.exe on older Xp versions.

if you search your windows directory for either Tskill or taskkill youll find it.
