So I just built a htpc for my rec room, and installed windows mce. I have all my music in a organized in a folder structure, and I thought I had fixed most of the tags awhile ago; however mce just butchers my music. It makes it to where I can't even find some stuff, and it shows some stuff as unknown.

So right now I am using gameex which organizes everything very well, and I wanted to know if mce can be organized similar to the way gameex is organizing it so I can actually find my music when I'm just using mce. Anyway run into this issue as well.

Secondly, I have purchased a logitech harmony 550 remote, and have bought a USB IR receiver off ebay, so that I can use my logitech harmony as a media center remote. I check, and I do have a remote code for media center, and people have tested it and it works fine with the mce.

My question is do think I'll be able to get my harmony to work in gameex.

Thanks,

Stephen

Hi Stephen. Have you not considered getting the MCE remote ? I'm using GameEX on XP Pro and use it to navigate GameEX & the jukebox (and while it's very handy for doing that i think that's as far as it goes for plain old XP). Funnily enough i bought the Harmony 550 remote for my tvs/dvd player and never used it simply because i have a crap internet connection and you need a decent connection to download the remote codes from their internet database. Sorry i can't be of any help with your issue.

iano.

Yea I considered buying it, but I got the harmony 550 for 64.99 brand new so I couldn't turn that down. It's suppose to do the same thing, I just didn't know if it would work in gameex. Picked up an HP mce ir receiver on ebay for 4 dollars as well that I'm going to use.

I was just thinking. Maybe it might be worth getting one of these (check out link). You'd be able to navigate GameEX/Jukebox and play games using these - i'm seriously considering getting them myself.

I already have a xbox 360 doa controller, that I plan to use on occasion. I was wanting something so I would not have to use a mouse and keyboard at all. I won't be using gameex all that much as this is primarily a htpc with dvr and my arcade machine is right next to it. I just thought it would be nice to just sometimes when I didn't want to have the arcade on.
