GameEx losing focus

Hi,

I am having a problem with GameEx and MagicEngine. Seems when I run a Turbo CD game GameEx loses focus!

I get a black screen until I press enter. Then I get MagicEngine displayed but 'focus' is lost. As in...I press a btn but I get teh windows error beep as if windows focus is on something else.

I have run the configured commands for GameEx TurboCD config from the cmd prompt and it works fine.

Anyone any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks Tom. Seems the problem is with Deamon Tools.

I am getting the following window pop up ... "Secure mode confirmation for command line:..XXXX"

This secure mode setting is causing GameEx to lose focus

I set it to off in deamon tools but when I restart windows the setting is back.

Should I be using an older deamon tools ?

I have Secure Mode turned off in Daemon Tools and it stays off when I reboot. I have Daemon Tools 4 I believe.

Ok. So I installed 4.00 and that has solved the Secure mode confirmation. However, when MagicEngine now starts it still has lost focus. Can't remember now exactly what was happening as it was late last night and I am in work now !? Will look again later to see exactly what is now happening.

Try ShowDesktop mode.

Even have SendKeys working to start the game .. the 'Run' key.

Problem was just Deamon Tools. Once I got 4.00 installed that was it. However, it was so late at night...I messed it up !?
