Can't play or list my videos

Hi all. Newly regged user, installed gameex on my vista pc today.. Mame works fine, about to try some other emu 's tomorrow..=)

But, can't use it as my htpc yet ,as when using the multimedia mode, only one video show up as available (out of 40+).. ( and i can't start playing even the one that shows up).

1. The Path's are correctly set to my movie root folder.(video path and dvd path)

2. The files all have avi extension (they are divx or xvid)

3. The ffdshow codec is installed

4. the videos all play fine in mediaplayer 11... (and also mediaportal,).. so the underlying os-setup is fine.

So, anyone had this problem,or suggestions??

Videos are currently not working or enabled in Vista yet, but Im working on it.

Tried the new 7.66,... now the videos is enabled== but trying to use it i get a directx error..

Please try 7.68, if you still have problems post the whole log. Are you saying it errors when you try to play a video or just run GameEx. did you change the theme or some display settings?

Just when playing video..

Tried 7.69, Changed the resolution to 1024x768, (was as my desktop, 1880x1440),Works better now, can play videos in small windowed mode. Havn't crasched when trying, i'll try some more.

although still problems with fullscreen mode, gameex loses the resolution (1024x768) when starting a video,and shows the video window in a small corner of desktop, with the rest of the desktop visible.

7.71 should fix it. Although theres nothing I can do about it chaning back to the desktop resolution.

This coding day must have been a busy one =)

1.after watching a video,

2 and hitting the backbutton (to mainmenu) makes gameex crasch wiith the same directx error described earlier in this topic.
