I've got v4.07 and need some input on an audio problem.I have an audio file that I want to play while gameex is running.I don't care for the built in jukebox and use a standalone (arcade jukebox) for that because it lets me build a playlist on the fly depending on my music mood instead of having to set up a fixed media player playlist. So my problem is this,if I enable the gameex jukebox and use the file in a playlist all works fine.If I disable the jukebox and set up the paths for the audio file with the jukebox disabled it still plays ok but I get an "ohhh" audio clip when gameex starts.I've tried some different settings in the audio setup but no luck, any idea. Here are the settings I was using.

enable sound fx=yes

enable jukebox=no

play music/radio on startup=tried yes & no

enable media controls=yes

jukebox playlist=arcade sounds(the playlist I created)

shuffle playlists=no

audio in snap avi=yes

mame audio mode=pause playlist audio & run mame with sound

audio files if jukebox disabled=(the folder my sound file is in)

music vol=51

play intro sound=no

attract mode audio=pause playlist audio & run mame with sound

download album art=no

Looks correct to me, but Ill try it out on mine later.

I would like to say though that your mistaken about GameEx only being able to play defined playlists. To do what you want to do just select the All Music playlist then queue up tracks. The All Music playlist is a special playlist, that loads all tracks then allows you to queue up whatever you want. At lleast it should!

I think I figured out what was happening, even though I disabled the jukebox and set the path to the audio file I wanted to run,I had to open the media player and delete the playlist I had created earlier for the sound file. After I deleted the playlist all worked normally.
