hi first i wanna say sorry if the pictures are alittle to big in size

this are some fast made layout to show what i means

in the left corner side it could be cool to have the choice to make a banner like i have shown (i dont mind doing those to be in the main release) again they are fast made

and dont judge it to much just to show the idea ...

second it could be really nice if you could have the choice to have differents bagrounds for every emulator like again as i showed that way you have the oppotunity to make every emulator unique with some charaters and stuff

again in not good at expaining it so i hope the layout casts and say what i mean better

I know exactly what you are asking and it is already on the list. Basically which is to allow differenet background (both animated and static) for different emulators. It also seems we need to have another Font option.

You can already do the banner and background for Daphne by using daphnebak.bmp, and you can remove the text where it normally states laserdisc just by replacing that text in the config app with a space.

Youve certainly inspired me to implemented the required enhancments sonner rather than later.

Do you think you could upload or email me the background images and banners on there own for me to play with?

afcouse it would be a please tho i need to know what format you wants them in becouse i still have them backuped as (photoshop) and can take the pieces out of choice some are transperant layers but i can save them as .png (transperant format) so you dont any picture quality this brings me to my next question how much room do your email have hehe

Photoshop is fine.

I can accept upto 50MB every ten mintues with email automatically, and that's being conservative.

Indeed, that looks awesome! Is there any way of implenting a border option around pictures, i.e. for snaps and mngs? Also, border colour would be a nice option if borders are coming. I mean, imagine how nice it would look with a 1 or 2 pixel white or black border around pictures on top of those backgrounds!

This even makes me feel I should try out skinning this thing!

well.

i first made a "no Screenshot Availiavble square" where the screenshots would appear so if there wasent any SS availiable that square got visible but it looked bad in window mode so i gave that idea up

a little update i made a new layout on top of the page hope you all like it

the main reason are to point out (if this feature dosent exits yet)

it could be cool to have "Game EX" to look for a default file if no "screenshot are available" forexample "default.bmp" so that would be shown the times there isnt a picture available to show

the next thing are the clock is it possible to remove the "am/pm" and set it to 24 hours clock instead not all uses that

and notice the specrum analyzer that could be a cool feature as well for "Game Ex" when you hear music

anyway i hope you all like them and Tom you have free hands to use what ever you like and hope some of the ideas do give you some inspirations for the upcomming versions ....
