Okay found a few posts on the web that state the reason the KN1 CHD's don't work is because of the winterblast controller plugin v1.6. :(

Using the stock keyboard control plugin, is suppose to allow the use of them.

So anyone have any idea's for alternative plugin's?

Is there a command-line argument to drop the Winterbast plugin and load the keyboard on a game-by-game basis?

I don't wanna move my CHD files over until I know this will work, :P

Actually there is...but I have yet to really toy or figure out the keyboard one yet.

--controller=<value> def: controller.znc choose controller plugin

Okay just confirmed it...if you don't use the above mentioned plugin the KN1 chds do work.

Blah now I got to work this into my new loader. :(

hehe

This should already be implimented in the ZiNc loader I guided you towards. We ended up using the loader to launch Joy2Key when loading these games. If you have the right download, Joy2Key should already be in there and you can set it up to work with your controller layout. I can't tell you exactly what directory it's in since I'm on my Vista machine and this wrapper doesn't work on Vista. Dig around in the file you were in to get your other games working properly, there's a Joy2Key.exe in there. You can set your controller up on a per-game basis from the .ini files that are in there.

Ok.... I am making progress, I think.

I am now able to load and play on both player one and player 2 the s11 games through the ZinkGUI program that someone sent to me today. I have configured the controllers within that program using the Winterblast plug in.

Now, is there a way to take the configurations that I just set up and use them in GameEx running Zinc?

Thanks,

Thomas

The configs that ZiNcGUI operates aren't for the wrapper I use. The wrapper has it's own configs for controllers. That's currently the only way I know that makes all the games run properly. Can't do much for GameEx with the GUI I'm afraid.

The problem is this: GameEx parses a command line argument to ZiNc, but it can't do that on a game-by-game basis. The wrapper, however, can do just that. That's the only way I'm aware of that you can make the appropriate settings for each ZiNc game. If you want tu use the ZiNcGUI your options are very limited I'm afraid...

ZiNc tweaking gets kind of advanced, but I (and a handful of others here) have it working just right for all the games it's capable of emulating.

Bottom line: Trust me. You should use the wrapper if you want all the games to run.
