[RESOLVED] GameEx 19.49 Virus alert?

When installing 19.49 onto a win 10 machine, I get Windows defender halting the install at the file "GameEx_background.dll".


When installing 19.48, the installer pauses on that file for a second or two then continues installing without incident

yeah, it happens from time to time. update virus definitions, download again and try again. its not currently doing it for me but was off yesterday.

I redownloaded the file from this site and the file size was different. This newer version (below list as -2) installs without incident.
I'm not sure what happened there. Did you upload 2 different versions? They both appear to be correctly digitally signed

yeah, i updated it. made some improvemnts and was ocd. not relevant though.

it does get detected as a virus from time to time. its just microsoft. if you lookup what it detected it as it will likely say expect false positives. this latest thing seems to happen when it is updated a lot.
