Sorry I mean MOVING not Movies..

My sega CD collection Cue/ISO/mp3 game files are in there own subdirectory in my /segacd folder. For use with gameex I must drag them all into the root so they share the same directory. Is there a program or a command line to do this quickly without having to open each folder and drag and drop them into the root?

Thanks!

Give me a sec and I can probably write you an autoit script that should do the trick.

God I love this forum. Yea I tried the tip you gave me to keep them in there subs a while back but it was to complex for me, With the HD space I have now I can have one directory subbed and one without since they are only 30g.

Ill be back in a while to try the script I just got the prestige, been dying to see it

Okay this should do the job...

Now its my prior understanding that things are like so:

Sega\

Sega\Game 1\

Sega\Game 2\

Sega\Game ...\

If this is correct then the script I have written should work fine. Simply place To_Root.exe in Sega (so to say):

Sega\To_Root.exe

Any ways have fun...the *.au3 file is the actual source code should you need to change things...it is dependant on AutoIt 3.2.2.0 should you choose to recompile it.

Man got stood up for a movie. ;)

hehe

PS...I didn't delete the folders once they are empty...since...for one they may not be...this would happen should two or more files maintain the same file name...as I did not set it to over write files...this will give you some ablity in which to back out of things or correct things...should things not be totally seemless.

Thanks dude I havent been able to test it yet because I am still making a duplicate of the files. I actually should have told you to make it copy the files instead of move but this will work fine. Thanks for taking the time I really appreciate it.

Well if you change the command from "FileMove" to "FileCopy" and exicute it...it'll do what you want.

Hey that program was awesome thanks ! Now you have to write something for gameex to support subs into sega cd ;)
