Hi all,

I am using the registered and latest version of GameEx. I tried to open a theme in Them Editor, but errs out and says "Old version, I con only open version 2 files".

Am I missing something?

Also, is it possible to use an .avi or .mpeg as a background?

Thanks,

Jeff

You can only modify ver 2 themes with Theme Editor. Look for "Default - Custom V2 Default 640x288". Themes with V2 are supported with theme editor. Yes its possible to use an avi as a background.

Thanks. I gave up after about five themes. Figures.

I finally got it to open a theme. I cannot seem to figure out how to use an .avi as a background. It only gives me the option to insert graphic files. Am I missing something?

Thanks.

Download the following video file to help you with changing the backgrounds. Ive created several video tutorials in helping with Theme Editor and GameEx in general. Visit http://hfc-essentials.net/gameex/ for my video files as well as other useful information. I believe my video files are located under game extras and extras & tools.
