Keyboard DirectInput Setting

Hi. Has anyone seen a noticeable difference in speed when having the 'Keyboard DirectInput Setting' (under Input Settings) in GameEX set to 'Yes' for multiple key presses etc. I have an IPAC2 but i would like to try out a MCE Remote Control for GameEX and read under the 'Keyboard DirectInput Setting' that volume & back won't work on the remote control if this setting is enabled.

If you enable Direct Input. Your I-Pac will not be able to adjust the volume up and down with the shortcut commands. Atleast in my case.

Hi Ling. Just checked this after my last reply. I have 'Keyboard DirectInput' enabled and i can still control the volume via the joystick (up/down) and the volume button ? Strange ? I have still to get to the bottom of the IPAC2 not remapping via GameEX (batch file always works outside GameEX). I post when i gather all the info. It must be an emulator or input/keyboard setting otherwise it looks like a bug.

Hi Ling. Sorry i didn't post sooner (dying of a hangover yesterday). No i don't hold player 2 button and press up/down on the joystick. I have the ipac2 with the mame default key assignment when in GameEX and in the 'Keyboard Input' settings in GameEX I have 'Custom Keyboard Controls' enabled and things like volume,select,back,next,previous etc mapped to the default mame player1 buttons (1to7).

Yeah I believe when Direct Input is enabled you cant adjust the volume with the shift keys. It doesn't seem to hurt my input btw.
