Tom Speirs
Its mainly a case of things getting old and legacy and also things being updated to work with new software. Both GameEx and MAME are still in very active development. Both are free. If i were you and depending on the power of the PC, i would take the opportunity to update MAME and your games collection. We can't provide details on the latter but you seem to be good enough at doing this stuff. Give it a go!
meester_bond
I think I've spent too much time on this already (as have you!). I'm going to order an upgraded core and give everyone some peace! Thanks for your time - I'll make sure it's donated.
Tom Speirs
No worries. if you decide to go with GameEx on the new PC, you are welcome to come back for help. i can see from the screenshot its a bespoke arcades machine. i know them and they are still trading. https://bespoke-arcades.co.uk/ I am pretty certain they will help with anything. Obviously not for free though.

Tom Speirs
Good stuff. They will come out and fit it too if you ask them and compensate.
