New Geo Roms not loading..

Hello all --

First of al,

Thanks Tom for such a wonderful MAME front end! I LOVE IT!

I do, however, have 1 question.... I cannot get my NEO GEO roms to be read from the Game EX Front end..

Here's what I've done so far \:

1. Downloaded newest MAME emulator mame097b.zip from www.mame.net. I then put all of my ROMS in the ROM Folder off of the MAME directory. I then had GameEX update it's list - but there is only 1 NeoGeo game listed and nothing else.

Oops - another question -- what are CPS Games? (Did I spell it right? It's anoter listing of games below the neogeo games listing... )

Two things to check for the Neo Geo issue:

1. Make sure you have the appropriate Neo Geo BIOS roms in your rom directory.

2. Make sure there is no filter set in the gameex config to filter Neo Geo games out of the list.

CPS = Capcom Play System

Capcom's arcade technology that was home to many of my favourite titles such as the Street Fighter series, Aliens vs Predator and many others. Definitely some roms worth checking out in this set.

Ok -- one more question -- and sorry for my newbie questions... All of my NewGeo roms are in ZIP format -- aren't the Bios in those ZIP files? Or do they need to be unzipped in the /Roms folder?

neogeo.zip should be placed in your rom dir. make sure you use the newer bios its about 230kb as apposed to 70/80kb one.

dont unzip..

Thanks! I found the file - I'll put it into my ROMS directory and test tonight.
