Hi:

I booted my cabinet yesterday, and got the standard 'new version available, upgrade?' message. As I've done so many times before, I let it go ahead and chug... After it finished and restarted, 1/2 of all my MAME ROMs are missing from the game list (favorites too!) Anything after Mr. Do (M's) is gone... I've verified the games are still in the \mame\roms directory, and the other games seem to be working fine (as does my SNES, PinMame, and Atari emulators)... Just the MAME roms.

I went from 3,400 games to around 1,720. Is there a way to make GameEx re-scan the MAME roms?

Thanks,

I would first do a manual download from the GameEx website. Not sure what version you upgraded from. Next would be to check your filters. Then do a full update or your games list.

Thanks! I neglected to mention that I did do a manual download/install. I'm not sure what version I upgraded from either, I couldn't have been more than .01 or .02 behind...

I did also check my filters and they seem OK. Ultimately stupid question, but how do I update the games list? It's been so long since I installed GameEx, I can't remember and couldn't find a menu option...

Thanks, and Merry X-Mas!

There should be a menu option under Mame called Update List. I think it may depend on if you have flat menu's or not though and Update List enabled as a menu option.
