AVISnaps Problem

Wonder if anyone can help with the following at all:

I got the AVISnaps configured up and a load of intro movies in the correct folder.

When I scroll through the games list in Mame via GameEx a black window appears on the left but no movie ever appears. When I move off the game a snip of the sound plays almost as if the movie was playing.

Checked that the videos play fine in media player so codecs seem to be in place for them fine.

Any ideas?

uninstall any divx codec and try fddshow codec.

im having same issue, except mine locks up... xp sp2 here.
