HELP - Using Streamdeck to launch games from GameEx

I would like to use my streamdeck to launch specific games when I'm in gameex, something like a favorite list. I can use it to execute arbitrary command line commands, launch programs, or send keyboard/mouse input. I tried to macro it to hit home, then down until I get to search, search for the game, etc but that was VERY unreliable and slow.

Is there any way to launch a game using command line or keyboard shortcuts?

There is the GameEx Online API. Otherwise command line support for specific games is there but Ive not touched it or looked at since the windows media center days.

Can the online API be used without an internet connection? I don't think the command line would work as I would need to mess with that on first start, and I'm looking for a way to launch a game while still having GameEx open.
