Hello guys, I am getting ready to build the control panel and assign the buttons for my Mame cabinet. I am using Gameex and I have a question regarding the assignments. From what I can tell, When actually in a game, you use "esc" to exit back to the MAME menu. However, that only takes you back tot he second game screen that asks if you want to see the marquee, controls, or play the game. In other words, when you hit escape when in a game, you don't go directly back to the game list. In order to do that, you have to hit the space bar.

My first question is - is there any way to go back to the MAME game list instead of the game info page when you push escape? Secondly, I have the "load up start page first" setting at "No" so it starts directly into the Mame list. I have to push the space bar.

The reason this is an issue is because I am trying to find a ay to get out of assigning two separate buttons - one for "exit", and one for "back".

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

As far as I know. The answer is No to both your questions. If you are inside GameEx and you bind 1 key to both exit/back. How would the software know which command you want it to do?

You first question Tom could probably add to the software. You should post this in the feature request Topic. It would be nice to have an option to exit back to mame game list.
