How to set spinner up (please)

Hi all

hope somebody can help gameex registered and working OK.

just completed a spinner hack with a mouse and it looks ok.

When i plug it in ps2 mouse port it shows up in windows desktop and goes left to right so that seems ok,but when i start mame it does not recognize it or rather in tempest it does not move anything.

I have gone into options and there is a tick in box for mouse,please can anybody tell me how to set it up (just another thing i dont know,

This is more-or-less a MAME related question, not necessarily something for GameEx. BUT, I think I can help ya. Make sure you have MAME configured with the MOUSE enabled. I think it's off by default. Just look in the options and you'll find it. Once you have it checked to be enabled, you have to press the 'TAB' key while in a game. Then you can go into your player control options and configure it. You can specify if you want it to go left/right, up/down, and even reverse the control if it's backwards.
