Hello there,

More and more emulators are working on my GameEx-machine. It is great ! But I have a question about running Nestopia. This is probably a question related to Nestopia itself, but I couldnâ??t find the answer anywhere else. So I hope you guys can help me. Half of my roms start perfectly with GameEx in fullscreen. But in case of the other half of my roms Nestopia says the fileheader contains garbage (or something like that). When I click â??okâ?? the game runs perfect. So I just want to get rid of this â??warningâ?? which I get over and over again. But how ?

Thanks in advance.

I assume the dump you're using has a bad header (for the ROM file I mean). Let me get some info.

Are you using GoodTool verified ROM files? If so, is there not a better 'dump' of the game you want to play? I don't recall having any problems with headers and I play an insane amount of Nintendo.

You'll probably see this issue less and less if you scan and certify your ROM sets.

Cowering's Good Tools for NES are available all over the net. Google it and try installing and running the tool. If you need help let us know. :)

I use the latest set of GoodNES roms and there are a few roms that have bad headers or garbage in the headers. But to stop the messages from showing up in Nestopia, in the Nestopia Options menu under preferences check the box next to "Suppress pedantic warnings / remarks" that should stop them.

It work perfect. Thanks for that. :)

But i've got another problem now. All of a sudden I can't escape the NES-games. When I hit the escape-key normale you get back to GameEx. Which worked fine. But now when I hit Escape I get the NEStopia menubar. I can't figure out what's wrong..

*edit:*

Excuse me, I'm a newbie. I figured it out myself. Map Keys=true did it !

Must have turned it off sometime. Forget my last question. sorry, I'm new to GameEx, but learning every minute :)
