hansolo77
Ok guys, I downloaded a huge torrent containing (almost) all of the GoodNamed & GoodMerged Rom Sets all in one. This has given me a whole bunch of roms to sort out and get emulated through GameEx. It is my intention to get every single one. And with a new job and a bigger harddrive, I hope to get every system eventually. {I'm EVIL} So anyway.. I'll be adding a config for each one of these that doesn't already exist... Here's the one for Miles Gordon Technology Sam Coupe...--------------------#01 - Download the SimCoupe emulator from here: http://www.simcoupe.org/download.html#01a - This tutorial assumes you've downloaded "SimCoupe-1.0-Win32.zip"...#02 - Extract files to destination of your choice.#03 - Run SimCoupe#04 - Go into Tools->Options-Joystick and configure the device you will be using (if any).#05 - Press [ALT]+[ENTER] to put the emulator in full screen mode.#06 - Move your roms to a folder located within the SimCoupe path (I just moved the GoodSamC folder into the root path..)#07 - Open up GameEx setup Wizard, chose custom, then Emulator Setup and click [NEXT]#08 - On a blank emulator line (27 in my case), configure your setup similar to mine above with your own folder names. Artwork paths are up to you. Rom path should go to your rom folder, not a "unzipped" folder. #09 - COMMAND LINE: SimCoupe.exe -disk1 "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" -autoboot yes#10 - Important factors for page 2... No sending Keys, No Desktop, No mapped file, No also Launch #11 - Important factors for page 3... All Blank, use 7-Zip/GoodMerge ONLY if you have that romset, screensaver is optional#12 - Enjoy![Emulator_27]Enabled=TrueDumbyValue=STARTPAGENAME=MGT Sam CoupeTITLETEXT=Sam CoupeStartPageLogo=SAMCOUPEROMFilter=RomsInFolders=FalseRomPath=D:\!GAMES\Sam Coupe\Miles Gordon Sam Coupe (GoodSamC v2.03)SnapPath=D:\!GAMES\Sam Coupe\snapsTitlePath=D:\!GAMES\Sam Coupe\titlesBoxPath=D:\!GAMES\Sam Coupe\boxCartPath=D:\!GAMES\Sam Coupe\cartWorkingPath=D:\!GAMES\Sam CoupeMapKeys=TrueWaitBeforeKeys=SendKeys=ReplaceDash=FalseReplaceUnder=FalseCapitals=TrueRemoveBrackets=FalseShowDesktop=FalseDebug=FalseMAPFile=AlsoLaunch=Command=SimCoupe.exe -disk1 "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" -autoboot yes OLDatZip=LaunchBefore=LaunchAfter=configFile=ExcludedFiles=CustomBackground=PlayMusic=PCGame=DATABASE=GamesIn7Zips=TruePlayInScreenSaver=TruePlease let me know if this config works or doesn't work for you. I'd be happy to help out, since I spent about 3 hours trying to figure out the easiest way to get it to work. I had trouble getting the fullscreen working. Apparently the built in command line to go fullscreen doesn't work. I also had trouble getting the emulator to start up the disk after the emulator loaded. I got it to insert the disk by the disk1 command, but it wouldn't run it. Turns out, the command line -autoboot was all I needed. According to the documentation, this is set to a default of <yes> anyway, but once I added it to the command line, it worked very smoothly.--------------------Left to configure from torrent (x's are done):[ ]Amstrad CPC (GoodCPC v2.02)[x]Atari 2600 (Good2600 v1.00)[x]Atari 5200 (Good5200 v2.01)[x]Atari 7800 (Good7800 v2.04)[x]Atari Jaguar (GoodJag v2.01)[x]Atari Lynx (GoodLynx v2.01)[ ]Bandai WonderSwan (GoodWSx v2.01)[ ]Channel F (GoodChaF v2.01)[x]Colecovision (GoodCol v2.01)[ ]Commodore 64 PSID Music Images (GoodPSID v0.999.4)[ ]General Computer Vectrex (GoodVect v1.06)[x]Mattel Intellivision (GoodINTV v2.03)[ ]Memotech MTX (GoodMTX v1.02)[x]Miles Gordon Sam Coupe (GoodSamC v2.03)[ ]NEC PC-Engine [TubroGrafx-16] (GoodPCE v1.09a)[x]Nintendo Entertainment System (GoodNES v2.01)[ ]Nintendo Virtual Boy (GoodVBoy v2.01)[x]Sega Game Gear (GoodGG v2.01)[x]Sega Master System (GoodSMS v2.01)[ ]SFC-SNES SPC Music Images (GoodSPC v2.01)[x]SNK NeoGeo Pocket (GoodNGPx v2.01)[ ]Spectravideo MSX 2 (GoodMSX2 v0.999.3)[ ]Spectravideo MSX (GoodMSX1 v0.999.3)[ ]Tandy Color Computer (GoodCoCo v0.999.5)[ ]Tangerine Oric (GoodOric v2.01)[ ]Thomson MO5 (GoodMO5 v1.00)[ ]Watara SuperVision (GoodSV v2.01)
