LOL nah don't do that...I much rather answer your questions, as that way you can be more active answering other peoples questions...hence take the load off me (should it ever develope) since your a very active member of the forum.

I'm all up for helping out those that help others and are active here. :)

So I'll try to answer possible questions dealing with what you have quoted. :)

Map files

These are files that GameEx creates its self normally these are found by default in C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA.

They are typically named EMU_1.map, EMU_2.map, EMU_3.map,... these numbers I believe correspond with what the Emu entry is in the Advanced Configuration application...tho don't quote me.

Now these are plain jane ASCII file...ie standard text files with the file extension changed from .txt to .map so there is nothing magical about these files and they can be altered with any text editor, including the lowly Notepad text editor. Tho for a light weight free text editor I suggest Ted Pad or a free mid weight one such as NoteTab Light or for a free heavy weight editor I suggest PS Pad...or my prefered editor...which is not free UltraEdit32 and all but the first support regex (regular expressions).

The data format these files use is RomName "GameName" you'll notice a single white space then quoted text. The quoted text is whats displayed inside of GameEx, while what preceeds it is the file name to pass to the emulator. Now when I say modified map file...basically it means I'm removing information that would other wise be there from the quoted text, which would other wise be seen by GameEx.

Now as to the subject of regex or more correctly regular expression I'll defer to Wikipedia and Regular-Expressions.Info

Hehe I know cheating on the last bit...but what the hey...it saves me a butt load of typing. ;)

Hey NL.. any chance of getting you to make an updated "long.txt" for the GBA leech? Or can you maybe help me with a script to build my own long.txt so I can get it updated when a new one comes out? I'm only needing it until the guy over at the other website updates the NDScrc program to include box art for GBA.

Sweet. I've been trying to get my romset complete and they keep adding new ones everyday! The last one on your list is like 50 behind now. I'm just needing to leech the boxart though. Hopefully they'll get that new version of NDScrc uploaded that will feature boxart for GBA too. Thanks man. :)

Well finally got around to doing some work on the new GBA Crawler....primary coding is done...tho the long.txt file it generates currently doesn't mesh with the current GBA Leech...tho that should be simple to fix.

Any ways tomorrow afternoon I should have things ready to go for you and anyone else.

It should be more independant of me once done...and far less maintance required...this will likely spill over into the other ones as well.

*Update*

I've attached a early build...should work but untested...I had an error while making the long.txt...but I can not find where the error is...so you maybe minus one games art...maybe...it was early on...so for those that already leeched with the prior script and text...they should be fine...but those just doing it now...who knows.

I'll try and get this all nailed down tomorrow.
