Hi Everyone!

I have build several Mame cabinets in the past few years, mainly from Universal cab's.

A few months ago I owned a "MK2" cabinet and this was the first time I immediatelly fell in love with a Midway build dedicated cab. Mainly the size of this type of cabinet is what I like in general, it gives you enough space for 6 buttons p.player. :) without adding or changing too much, I like the original feeling and looks the best. I added some extra buttons (MK2 has only 5 p.p;) wired the 4,5 and 6 button to the J-pac. Added some power switch and HD and Power Led's and the fun could begin :D WRONG........, as soon as it was finished friends where also very in love with this type of Mame cabinet so after some hard work they begged me to sell it to one of them.

I've always tried to find some Old school like Pacman and/or Galaga Cab but they are very hard to find on our market here, and if they appear most of the time I'm even too late to react ;) It took me some time and miles to find another Midway cab, and promissed myselve to not sell this time :)~

Besides my two other projects (cocktail cab's which I'm building from scratch Galaga and Ms Pacman) I finally could start all over again and build one great cab for my own fun.

Allthough it still looks like it was designed and with the minimum of extra's (on the outside;) here is the result of my current job. :D

My cabinet is a UMK3. Although when I started in mame. I didn't know I could reuse the monitor that came with it. I threw it away. :o

Ouch what a waste :( With some extra hardware attached it's a peace of Mamecake :)

I really dig that CPO. I'm gonna design one for my cabinet now. Thanks for pushing me into it. ;)

Thx Emph!

The CPO as you called it, it's attached to the PC's mainboard to show Power and HD activity.

Here are some other fine detailles;

On and off button (PC)

and

Volume control

I used a Soundblaster 2.1 P380 speakerset which comes with a small volume control unit

I just meant the graphics on your Control Panel Overlay. I really dig the way they added shadow boxes around each button setup. That's inspiring.
