Your not the only one who has been confused by that! That line is just debug output and is not the actual command used to launch the emulator. The way GameEx works is it creates a batch file called DATA\runitgame.bat and launches that. So to test the last game launched from GameEx outside of GameEx try running runitgame.bat and see what happens.

From the FAQ:

Q: In MAME32, I see 2000+ more games than I do in GameEx, why don't they show up?

A: Open up GameEx Configuration app and go to Advanced MAME settings->Page 2:

Here you can change the filters that GameEx uses to import games.

Only working games

Allow imperfect games

etc.

Change to your liking, then open GameEx and update your game list again.

HOT TIP!!! If you're a new user of GameEx, you will learn much useful things from looking at the FAQ.
