I'm in the process of creating a Star Wars Theme. All feedback appreciated. Any photoshop hints? Better layout? Add this? Take away that?

Looks good. My personal opinion would be to focus the backgrounds more on the orginal Starwars images, and not on the new ones. Again this is just my perference, and I am sure other would disagree. Other than that looks nice.

Wow ling! there comin thick and fast ;)

How about using a star wars font for the title? http://galactic-voyage.com/Fonts.htm

You could even make the title part of the background image, and then disable the display title/text.

I'd agree with Stephen on this one, most of the star wars games are based on the first 3 films.

The only other thing i'd wonder about is the size of the screenshot, its pretty small which might put some users off.

Looking good though Ling :)

I thought about making the title/text part of the background like I did with my arcade theme. Only problem I see is that emu names dont show then. Do most people care about losing that aspect?

No matter what size I make the screen shot in Theme Editor. The snaps/video are never as big as what I dictate the image to be. Am I doing something wrong? Is the size of your snap/image dependant on what it was encoded in? Thats one issue I've been longing to fix.

I'll focus more on old school Star Wars pics then. Thats exactly the kind of feedback I need. One issue I'm having is the gameex logo no longer zooms when started then fades back out. When A theme is started now it just zooms towards the screen and out. Doesnt stop like before.

You know, one could package the font in with the theme, and maybe Tom or Kaze could write a little 'Font Install' program that runs when a theme is unpacked somewhere down the road...

But I'm pretty sure you get to distinguish between the Title font and the List font in the theme.ini so place the font in the theme .zip and give install directions in the README.

Just a suggestion.

As far as characters go, I think the new Star Wars images lok nice, but if your're going with authenticity I gotta agree that the early Star Wars cast would look a bit nicer.

That would be great. If you could upload what you have somewhere so I could Download it.

Big Star Wars fan here, would love to see some SW themes. A theme I've had in mind is something using images from Star Wars - Republic Commando. Rather then using movie shots I was thinking the game has some pretty high quality graphics, but not your typical clean around the edges type graphics you normaly see in games. If you or anyone else is interested I can grab some samples and post email.

I created a Mos Eisley theme (albeit a pretty skimpy one) based on my Cabinet marquee. I'm at work now so I can't post anything, I'll try and get some shots up later. Opening sound is the Cantina song, background Video is edited scenes from outside Mos Eilsey (and the Bar Scene from EP II for variety).
